We have begun spaying our older females to enable them to spend their "retirement years" in relative peace and quiet. Their vaccinations are current.

Tundra (below)
Female/spayed
Date/Whelp: 6/1/00
Color: Sable/white
Weight: 95 lbs
AKC
Free to good home

Tundra (below) will be 10 years old on June 1st.  She is a short-haired sable/white with a loving temperament.  She has produced several litters of healthy, beautiful puppies over the years (our Gizmo being one of her daughters with Baron).  Tundra has an extraordinary temperament.  VERY loving, vocal and energetic.  She has been selective with the same-sex aggression so typical of Alaskan Malamutes, but gets along very well with males.  She isn't fond of cats ... we acquired her at 1 1/2 years of age, so she had not been socialized with cats.  She is OK with cats when supervised ... she understands "No" very well.  She leaves our cats alone when we are supervising her contact, but, I doubt she could be trusted otherwise (we've got Mals that actually allow the "barn cats" to sleep in their doghouse and eat from their food dish - but, I doubt Tundra would be so accommodating).  She is still very active and loves to run and chase a ball.  She knows her basic commands and loves to be bathed and brushed.  She needs a home with a fenced yard, lots of shade and access to water during the day.  Tundra would LOVE to be a house dog.  Most importantly, Tundra would be happiest in a home where she is the ONLY pet - gets ALL the loving and is permitted to snooze quietly most of the day!

We welcome a visit by anyone interested in adopting Tundra to meet her and interact with her.  It would likely be in the best interests of both Tundra and the "adoptive parent" that she, first, "visit for a weekend" to ensure that both she and the "adoptive parent" are comfortable with each other and that both are going to be happy.  If interested, please contact me either by phone or e-mail!

Pumpkin (below)
Female/Spayed
Date/Whelp: 12/2/02
Color: Black/white
Weight: 85#
AKC
Free to good home

Pumpkin has been spayed and will be available for adoption once she has completely recovered from whelping/nursing.  She has blessed us with many beautiful puppies over the years!  Pumpkin is a sweetheart ... loves petting, bathing, brushing.  She gets along well with male dogs, but is highly same-sex aggressive towards females (she wasn't always so, but was confronted by another female a couple of years ago and lost the tip of one ear).  She has no interest in cats and is quite gentle towards children (though she has not had a lot of contact with very small children).  She has a soft, plush coat.  She will be available at no charge to a good home ... we prefer that she be placed locally to enable the "adoptive parents" to take Pumpkin home for a weekend "visit" to ensure that they - and she - are happy!

Nali (below)
Female/spayed
Date/Whelp: 3/2/02
Color: Black/white
Weight: 110 lbs
AKC
Free to good home

Nali has a very sweet temperament!  She has exhibited no same-sex aggression, but will defend herself if necessary.  She gets along well with male dogs, of course.  She is still very playful but would be happiest with an older male canine companion that will respect her space and play when SHE wants to play!  She isn't happy being outside by herself ... if she doesn't have a canine companion, she can be quite the escape artist!  She's very vocal!  She would LOVE to be a house dog!  She is OK with cats and children.  She's OK with bathing and loves to be brushed!  Although she drinks a LOT of water, she doesn't play in her water.
