Kodiak came to our kennel in October, 2010. He previously lived in Mounds, but his wandering ways were not appreciated by his new neighbors. So, we were asked to give him a home. He has a good temperament and is familiar with most common commands. Kodiak is distantly related to our Tundra (who passed away on Thanksgiving Day, 2010) - her dam/sire are Kodiak's paternal great-grandparents.

Kodiak has one fault:  he climbs fences!  So, until we are able to re-bury electrical cable to the kennels, he is secured by a 40' chain.  I dislike it as much as he does, but it is for his own safety.  We let him run loose an hour each day while we are feeding and changing water ... allows him to become acquainted with the rest of our Mals (he fancies himself to be quite the ladies' man)!  To date, he has shown no aggression towards the other males, but he does like to taunt them while he is running about the common area!
